Arequipa, known as the White City due to its architecture built with white volcanic stone, called Sillar. Its landscapes are surrounded by four imposing volcanoes, a cool climate and represented by the kindness of its people.

In its historic center is the Plaza de Armas, an imposing main square, and to the north of it is the 17th century neoclassical Cathedral Basilica.
